Description

Reporting to the Head of Public Information and Stakeholder Networking, the jobholder will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including:

  • being responsible within the Agency for the coordination of safety announcements between the Agency and the national competent authorities both for centrally and non-centrally authorised medicines;
  • producing, in collaboration with other parties of the Agency and Member States, supportive information for dissemination within the European Union regulatory network whenever necessary;
  • contributing to the processes of early identification of topics leading to external communication;
  • contributing to discussions on the Agency’s plans and strategies on communication to the public, both internally and with external stakeholders, e.g. patients and healthcare professionals;
  • providing medical writing and editing skills in English, including reviewing documents prepared by colleagues within the Agency and collaborating in the preparation of reports for the general public;
  • contributing towards the consistency and clarity of documents written for the general public.

Application process

The Agency only accepts electronic application forms submitted via e-mail. The application form is located under key documents. The application form can be completed using any official European Union language.

  1. Completed applications should be submitted to selection_procedures@ema.europa.eu. Note that applications e-mailed to any other e-mail address cannot be considered.
  2. You will need the latest version of Adobe Reader for the application form to work correctly. Download the latest version for free from Adobe Reader download.
  3. Once you have completed the application form click on the 'submit by e-mail' button at the top right of the application form. Your application form is transformed into an XML file and will be attached to an e-mail to be sent to selection_procedures@ema.europa.eu.
  4. Click on the send button of the e-mail to ensure that your application form is sent to the Agency.
  5. You do not need to write a message in the e-mail.
  6. You will receive an automated response from the Agency acknowledging receipt of your e-mail.
  7. Due to the large numbers of applications we receive, the system may encounter problems processing the large amounts of data close to the submission deadline. Applicants are therefore advised to send in their application form well ahead of the deadline.
  8. Curricula vitae (CVs) are not considered as an application. In order to be considered for the selection procedure, you must follow the application process as outlined above and submit the relevant, completed application form.
