The European Medicines Agency's Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC) re-elected Prof Dr. Werner Knöss from Germany as its chair for a second three-year term. The HMPC also elected Dr. Marisa Delbò from Italy as its new vice-chair for a three-year mandate.
Prof Dr. Knöss was a member of the HMPC from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, he was elected chair. He is currently head of the Department for Complementary and Alternative Medicine and Traditional Medicinal Products at the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) in Bonn.
