The Organisational Matters Drafting Group (DG ORGAM) was established at the first meeting of the Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC) in September 2004, as a temporary subgroup of the Committee. The role of DG ORGAM is to provide support in organisational matters arising from the legislative framework of the HMPC.
The DG ORGAM's main activities relate to the implementation of Directive 2004/24/EC. This includes the development of guidance documents and templates necessary for establishing the organisational framework for the HMPC's work, in particular the establishment of European Union herbal monographs and entries to the European Union list of herbal substances, preparations and combinations thereof for use in traditional herbal medicinal products.
