This concept paper addresses the development of a guideline with the aim to provide clear guidance on how to perform an environmental risk assessment for veterinary medicinal products intended to be used in aquaculture, in order to reduce current regulatory uncertainty and disharmonisation as well as to increase public health, animal welfare and environmental protection.
