The European Medicines Agency's annual report for 2009, published today, shows that the Agency delivered very good results against its ambitious work programme for the year.
Despite an increase in volume in almost all areas, the Agency conducted its core activities to a high level of quality and within the specified regulatory timelines
The report highlights the significant achievements of the Agency and its partners in the European regulatory system in the pivotal role they played in the European Union's response to the outbreak of the H1N1 ('swine flu') pandemic.
