EMA's CHMP can issue a qualification opinion on whether a novel methodology is acceptable to generate evidence in specific context(s) of use

It bases its opinion on the data that the medicine developer submits to show the methodology’s validity for the targeted context(s).

It publishes its evaluation for public consultation before adopting the final opinion. This enables scientific scrutiny and discussion.
