Veterinary students can join an information session hosted by EMA and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) on pharmacovigilance and its role in protecting animal health, public health and the environment.

Why pharmacovigilance matters

Veterinarians play a key role in monitoring the safety of veterinary medicines. As the trusted healthcare professionals closest to the animals and their owners and keepers, they are often the first to identify and report suspected adverse events associated with veterinary medicines.

These reports provide real-world evidence on how medicines perform in everyday use. They help identify new or emerging risks and support the safe and effective use of veterinary medicines.
