This ad-hoc focus group meeting convened veterinary pharmacovigilance regulators, PhVWP-V interested parties and practising veterinarians to consider and develop aspects for encouraging reporting adverse events on food producing animals and providing feedback to reporters. The meeting aimed to provide a forum for open discussion and exchange of experiences to identify the challenges faced by veterinarians in relation to reporting post-authorisation issues and to explore ways in which to address these. This meeting was also an initial step at improving liaison between the veterinary pharmacovigilance network and representatives of the practising veterinary profession specialised in food-producing animals.
