On 1 August 2026, EMA joined the Amsterdam Canal Parade during WorldPride with the "United for health" boat to show its commitment to inclusive science and collaboration in public health.
EMA's boat was one of 80 sailing Amsterdam's canals in front of an estimated audience of 300,000 people.
Representatives of patient organisations and the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board joined EMA staff on our boat.
Together, we highlighted the importance of diversity, equality and inclusion. We also expressed appreciation for EMA's host city Amsterdam and its long-standing commitment to equal rights for the LGBTQI+ community.
EMA became the first EU agency to participate in WorldPride.
