CAT members
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) publishes details of the members and alternates of its Committee for Advanced Therapies (CAT).

The CAT consists of:
- a chair, elected by serving CAT members;
- five members or co-opted members of the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP), with their alternates. These members are appointed by the CHMP;
- one member and one alternate nominated by each EU Member State that is not represented by the members and alternates appointed by the CHMP;
- one member and an alternate appointed by each of the EEA-EFTA States;
- two members and two alternates representing patients' organisations appointed by the European Commission;
- two members and two alternates representing clinicians appointed by the European Commission.
All members and alternates serve on the committee for a renewable three year period.
In accordance with the committee rules of procedures, observers from non-EEA authorities with whom there is a confidentiality arrangement may attend the plenary meetings on regular basis. Attendance is reflected in the committee minutes as from 2024.
