The Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC) is the committee that is responsible for preparing the Agency's opinions on questions relating to herbal medicines. It does not currently publish the minutes or agendas of its meetings. It does publish a meeting report after each meeting.

The HMPC Chair welcomed all participants in the meeting, in the new setting whereby the HMPC meetings are now held prior to the meetings of the Working Party on Community Monographs and Community List (MLWP). With a view to maintaining the same level of transparency as before, information on the progress achieved in the MLWP on 11-13 May 2011 is included at the end of this meeting report, although it was not reported to the HMPC on 10 May 2011.
