Event summary

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is hosting a workshop on supporting innovation in cardiovascular medicines and medical devices in the EU.

This multistakeholder workshop will cover interdisciplinary discussions addressing a range of important topics including clinical gaps, development challenges and regulatory strategies, advancing prevention and treatment in cardiovascular (CV) diseases and their overlapping areas including diabetes, obesity, lipid lowering and renal aspects. The role of real-world data as well as digitalisation and AI in CV innovation will also be discussed. The participants include patients, healthcare professionals, academia, regulators, and industry.

The overall objective of the workshop is to enhance understanding among stakeholders on the interplay of regulation and innovation in CV medicines and medical devices.

Participation in this event will be by invitation only, but all those interested are welcome to follow the live broadcast. A video recording will be published after the event.
