Event summary
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) formally established the Medical Device Shortages Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Working Party in June 2023, in accordance with the Regulation on EMA's Reinforced Role (Regulation (EU) 2022/123), after the Executive Steering Group on Shortages Steering Group (MDSSG) agreed its rules of procedure.
The Medical Device SPOC Working Party is responsible for monitoring and reporting events that could affect the supply of medical devices in the European Union (EU) during a public health emergency.
