Industry stakeholder platform meetings

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) hosts stakeholder platform meetings with representatives of the pharmaceutical industry to address operational aspects linked to research and development for medicines, the centralised marketing authorisation procedure and pharmacovigilance.

These industry platform meetings complement those organised by EMA's Industry Standing Group and annual bilateral meetings with industry associations representing specific sectors.

Both the Industry Standing Group meetings and annual bilateral meetings focus on exchange of views, although the latter take a high level approach while the former also look to facilitate the implementation of new legislative proposals.
