Medicine Shortages SPOC Working Party meetings

The Medicine Shortages Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Working Party meets once a month. It shares information on shortages and availability issues of human and veterinary medicines and coordinates actions to prevent and manage shortages.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) established the Medicine Shortages SPOC Working Party in May 2022, in accordance with the Regulation on EMA’s Reinforced Role (Regulation (EU) 2022/123).

The working party is overseen by the Executive Steering Group on Shortages and Safety of Medicinal Products (MSSG), which agreed its rules of procedure.
