Event summary

Setting up in March 2022, the Cancer Medicines Forum (CMF) was created by EMA in collaboration with the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) with the overall goal to optimise cancer treatments.

During the December 2025 meeting, the following topics were discussed:

• CMF membership extension to industry and patient representatives. The EMA presented a proposal outlining the formalisation of stakeholders’ participation in the CMF, taking into account the establishment of the CMF’s mandate under the Healthcare Professionals Working Party (HCPWP) and the Patients’ and Consumers Working Party (PCWP).
• CMF 2024 workshop: report and publication update. The EORTC provided an update on the manuscript summarising the outcomes of the 2024 CMF workshop.
• The EMA provided an overview of the CMF workshop held on 14 November 2025 at the EMA Headquarters. Topics identified during the workshop will be discussed within the CMF to plan for possible future activities within the CMF.
