Update: In the context of the escalating situation with the COVID-19 outbreak, this awareness session is postponed to later in 2020. EMA will inform registered participants as soon as the new date is available.

This two-day international awareness session gives an insight into:

  • the European regulatory system for veterinary medicines;
  • the role of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European medicines regulatory network;
  • specific aspects of the new Veterinary Medicines Regulation.

It will discuss veterinary topics such as antimicrobial resistance, support for innovation and collaboration with academia.

Parallel sessions will discuss more specific topics, such as animal welfare, food safety and security, veterinary medicines and the environment and animals and society.
