Scientific guidelines
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) publishes scientific guidelines for human and veterinary medicines, as well as for herbal medicinal products. Scientific guidelines reflect a harmonised approach of the EU Member States and EMA on how to interpret and apply EU requirements for quality, safety and efficacy. Guidelines also help prepare marketing authorisation applications.
