Event summary

The European Shortages Monitoring Platform (ESMP) training session on routine shortage reporting for marketing authorisation holders (MAHs) for centrally authorised products (CAPs) aims to provide industry stakeholders with details regarding how to use the ESMP in preparation for the ESMP launch of the routine shortage reporting functionality at the end of November 2024.

The session will take place on 20 November 2024, 10:00 – 12:00 (CET) and is aimed at all MAHs in the EU/EEA for human medicines authorised centrally via the EMA. Kindly note that registration to this event is not mandatory and the live broadcast will be accessible via the event page during the scheduled time.

During this session, the ESMP team will illustrate the importance and benefits of consistent reporting of shortages to the EMA, as well as the ESMP development progress, milestones and dependencies. The main part of the training will focus on how to establish the required user access roles and how to use the Platform to report shortages of CAPs to EMA through the routine shortage reporting functionality in the ESMP. Furthermore, there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session through a dedicated Slido.

As the routine shortage reporting for CAPs by MAHs go-live of the ESMP approaches in late November 2024, this session is part of a series of events planned throughout 2024 and 2025 to promote awareness and knowledge about the platform and its use. Please note that reporting of CAP shortages to EMA is mandatory. EMA aims to equip MAHs with all the needed information to navigate the platform effectively when it is live.

Please note: The webinar will be broadcast live, recorded, and the recording will be available on the event page shortly after the event.
