Event summary

EMA's participation in the Canal Parade reflects its mission to protect public and animal health for everyone in the European Union, regardless of background or identity. By taking part in World Pride, EMA shows its commitment to ensuring that safe, effective and high‑quality medicines serve all people across Europe.

Diversity and inclusion are core EU values and a strength for EMA as a scientific and regulatory organisation. Embracing different perspectives supports better science, better regulation and better outcomes for patients. Through its participation in the Canal Parade with EMA staff and patient organisations, EMA stands "United for Health" and visibly for equality and inclusion, including support for the LGBTQI+ community.

As a European agency hosted by the Netherlands, EMA's presence at World Pride also reflects its connection to Amsterdam and the local community.
